"I truly believe America is indeed fortunate to have Mr. Rumsfeld in the office he is in currently. Some day, after we are long gone, and the true story of what has transpired behind the scenes in the Middle East, and Afghanistan...Americans will have occasion to look back at bottom fish like the above two, and realize that they weren't even of the caliber to shine Mr. Rumsfeld's shoes."

This is not a boast but I knew that Kennedy and Byrd were "bottom fish" years ago. In Kennedy's case it goes back to that bridge in Chappaquidic. In Byrd's case it goes back to when he, the butcher, organized a KKK group in West Virginia.

I couldnt believe it when Kennedy gave Rumsfied the 3 strikes and your out quote and said shouldnt you resign? I thought to myself THE AUDACITY of that SOB. Rummy proved to be a far greater gentleman then myself. I would have responded and what is the number of strikes a Senator such as yourself gets? jdn
