That article mainly seems to say the international population dislikes the current US government. If the question is phrased that way, you're probably going to get a 50% dislike rating among Americans as well.

That's a good thing about the US. If you don't like the government, just be patient and a new one is due up every four years. Unlike China, where, well, your opinion just doesn't matter much. It's like the Chinese's opinion of their own government - who cares? If a Chinese tells the Chinese government that he doesn't like them, off to jail with him.....
