I fail to see where hypothetical philosophical differences between the two matter much when it comes down to practicalities... the Socialist promotes the central State's interests over those of the individual because that is their philosophical mantra, while the putatively 'Capitalistic' Autocrat effects the same actions (maximizing, then utilizing the power of the central State to trump the property rights of the individual) because of a similar philosophy... in this case, perhaps best summarized by the phrase 'what's good for GM, is good for America'.
