"Second it created a place for militant islamacists to gather and fight the United States without doing it in the streets or skies over Chicago, LA, Washington and New York."

This is a wingnut myth. They ARE fighting us in Iraq. I don't believe the second part. It's ridiculous. It's even more ridiculous than Saddam attacking us HERE.

You're only correct on one point - it did remove SH.

Incidently SH was a secular socialist which is something the Washington neocons found distasteful. He didn't let Esso, Hal, McDonalds, Walmart etc. into his country for business. Saddam was trying to get the World to recognize that he was following the UN resolutions on disarming. The Bush Cabal, Bolton among them, were active in trying to discredit the UN Weapons inspectors and block their final entry into Iraq to do their verification. Their case for war was flimsy, leading to the conclusion that the war was/is for commercial gains. I call that plunder.

Incidently, the Iraqi's are still without water and electricity. The insurgency is not weakening, despite the efforts of the US occupiers.
