You are correct, so few even understand how the impeachment process works... Of course, this goes back to the dismal state of education these days.

The House of Representatives votes on "articles of impeachment", followed by a trial in the Senate.

Impossible to even get started under the current majority of the house.....

I support impeaching Cheney and Bush even after they leave office. Then they will be disgraced, lose their pension, and will have no legal fig leaf to keep them from being tried for war crimes at the hague.

There is no statue of limitations on war crimes.
