Lindy: We will not lose this war. The American people, when the chips are down, always manage to do the right thing. The media and all of the sheep who follow can bleat all they want. But without noticeable effect and little or no change. The elections will prove again what they have proved before: The American people are smarter than the media gives them credit for being. The American people are also adept at spotting the phoney (witness Kerry) and giving them the boot.
(The only exception to this premise is the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Teddy Boy survives despite the baggage he carries because he is related to JFK.)

But eventually, even the Massachusetts voters will tire of their tiresome politicians and will join the Big American Parade.

And I think the people of South Carolina are beginning to ask questions about their newest boy wonder. Graham is sounding more and more like the phoney that some knew him to be.

We will win or lose this war in the media and the elections.

If that's the case, then they didn't plan it very well, at all.
