Khalil,

Thanks much for the recommendation. Another book in the same genre of cosmology that you might have an interest in is a new one by Joseph Silk titled "On the Shores of the Unknown : A Short History of the Universe"

I have read Silk's older book, "The Big Bang" and found that his writing is excellent and well suited for someone like me who studied "Physics for Poets" in University. Silk is quite a bit more accessible than Stephen Hawking, for instance.
