MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. The ONLY reason I can give for the dogs is the kids smell was ALL OVER that area so the car trunk was no different then the sidewalk. But, you would THINK a cop or a parent would have said, gee, theres a car there, wonder if they could have gotten in the trunk? Plus, I have to think the kids must have been screaming their heads off for at least awhile till the air was gone. jdn

The first that comes to mind is the kids were not always in the trunk.

I hope we get an explanation why professional search teams never checked the car.</i?
