On Clinton's watch, the Dow went from 3000 to 11,000. Did it drop back down to 3000? Where is it TODAY, on the chimp's watch five years on?

If you had a Dow index fund when Clinton was sworn in, you've watched it gain spectacularly, more than tripling during his term. You've watched it decline and then stagnate since, under the chimp. The chimp has been bad for business.

Only ideologues claim the chimp has been an investor's President, or that Clinton wasn't one. An investor's ideal is peace and prosperity, not war, deficits and instability. My money's in Aisa, where they seem more interested in growth than chest thumping. It's doing good work for me.

Is a real estate bubble 'sustainable prosperity'?

Is ANY asset bubble?

How about high employment, rising productivity, and national savings?

Do they produce sustainable prosperity?

Clinton's economy was very sustainable. Everything was paid for. Pay as you go.

The Clinton stock markets did not have the help Bush has from Greenspan but did great anyway, so long you weren't speculating wildly on dot-com stocks, or the victim of one of the big criminal scams like Enron (Bush's corporate best friend).
