Eva, the only place I'm aware of where you can turn wireless on or off is within the router software. It opens through your browser and could be 192.168.1.1

In mine - an older Linksys router - it is found on the 'setup' page.

If your wireless once worked it's unlikely that this setting has changed.

Eva, I have a Toshiba satellite notebook; on that model the wireless switch is on the front panel, just under the indicator lights. (I assume you're talking about a laptop/notebook...).
