Well, it's hard to get too worried about the Bush goons taking over NPR, since NPR is, after all, a propaganda outlet for the liberals.

What we are seeing with NBR is the modus operandi of the Bushites.

They are taking over a state apparatus created by the liberals, in order to use it for their own nefarious purposes. The liberals are screaming bloody murder, and well they might, because their little fiefdoms are being ripped away.

I think the correct expression is that the liberals are being hoist by their own petard.

The way to protect yourself from goons is not to create a powerful state, and then fight over who controls it. The way to protect yourself from goons is to NOT create a powerful state, so that there is nothing to fight over.

Right-o. If this is what Public TV has descended to then it's time to stop pledging. Since it's rightwing government propaganda, it's time to support commercial progressive programming instead.

They already cut NOW in half, tried Tucker Carlson and still have the idiots from the WSJ editorial board which is about as rightwing as they come...almost. I'm waiting to see if they axe Frontline which still tries to do investigative reporting --- an otherwise dead profession in the world these days.
