Normally an organization takes its mission statement and tries to fulfill it. Not PETA.

According to the Center for Consumer Freedom, in 2003 alone PETA killed over 85% of the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens it took into its care. During the same time the Norfolk SPCA and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 73% and 66% of its animals respectfully.

Interesting group this Center for Consumer Freedom. Normally, they are promoting the health benefits of restaurants and trying to suggest that obesity is good, that the BMI measurements for obesity are unreasonable, and that soft drinks do not lead to type 1 diabetes or is it type 2. You have to wonder how they got into PETA's dirt or why they did.

I bet if I did a little more research I'd find out their principles are a bid red and myth based.
