Well, as of now we have lost over 1800 American Military personnel in Iraq -if you add in in-country suicides- and around 200 in Afghanistan.. And it believe there are no real aggregate of death numbers on the private soldiers in Iraq even though there are 20,000 of them paid for by the US at wages and overhead way exceeding $200,000 per year each. There are probably 200 deaths of these mercenaries -only some of whom are US citizens. There are also several score more US deaths from wounds and suicides from soldiers returned to the US, which the Pentagon conveniently overlooks. In addition the wounds in this war are much more severe than in past wars; due to the RPGs and bombs. Hundreds , possibly as many as fifteen hundred US military people or more were saved by fast action and better wound treatment whom would have died in previous wars. Several months ago it was clear that the Pentagon had understated the number of medical evacuees from Iraq; by now it certainly is over 30,000, including psych evacs.

Colition partners have lost at least 200 soldiers.

The devestation on Iraqis is many times higher, possibly from 27,500 deaths to 100,000 plus deaths from this War; no one knows. If this happened in the USA this would translate into 300,000 to 1,100,000 deaths!!!!!! Crazy and obscene especially when the War was unnecessary and diverted our best troops from Afghanistan where we let Osama slip by.
