Either that's an indication of age, a loss, or a VERY long war. I got some bad news for you: military technology does not stand still. Weapons quite adequate for wars when you were born are barely decent targets now. Guess so. "Bunker busters" were tried and dreamed of in WW2 too. They just didn't have the explosives to do it effectively.
