I HOPE that more people would put love of country ahead of partisan politics. I share your hope. Thank you. I don't remember even talking about Tripp. The comparison between Felt and Tripp is informative of partisanship. The same comparison is apt for President Nixon versus Clinton. We have a situation in this country due to the liberal bias of the media, and due to the lack of character of the Democrat party where Republicans are held accountable for their actions and Democrats are allowed excessive leeway for their actions. The situation cannot persist for too much longer. Felt saw institutions of government being used to undermine our democratic principles and alerted the press which was the ONLY way he could have gotten the story out. Tripp listened to a "friend's" PRIVATE conversations about a sexual dalliance and ratted her out. HOW can you find ANY similarity in those two scenarios? It appears you did discuss Linda Tripp. The point remains, we have a criminal convicted for participating in "black bag" jobs who rarely if ever ended any "investigation" who is supposed to be a hero of the left for violating his oath and ethics. Felt illegally leaked to the press instead of using legal means to fulfill his vendetta. We have a woman who helped win a conviction against the biggest abuser of power in the twentieth century who went to the special prosecutor with information of the chief law enforcement officer in the country perjuring himself. We are supposed to believe she is a villain. The positions Democrats and their media allies take are instructive of bias and partisanship. So Harding and Nixon didn't count? I said abusive, not want to be abusive. Check the records, President Nixon tried with limited success to use the IRS to intimidate. Clinton used the IRS with virtually a 100% success rate to intimidate and punish his perceived foes. President Nixon tried to stonewall with limited success. Hilary and Bill were quite successful at stonewalling. What ever became of the prosecutions for TravelGate, FileGate, Castle Grande, Madison Guarantee, failure to report $50,000 in imputed income from the later pardoned Susan McDougal and her convict husband forgiving the Clintons' debt, Hillary's Rose Law firm billing records turning up right after the body of Vince Foster turned up in a Park in which his death did not occur? Etc. If you wish to comment about it, you will have to explain your accusations of abuse against President Harding.
