The small independent restaurants are best to collect from as the rendering companies charge them more to pick up due to the smaller amounts of used waste oil generated.

I offer to pick up for free provided they prefilter the oil with their fryer filters before dumping it in the container, and I set them up with a container if they request one.

Some really small places will pour it back in the 5 gallon containers the new oil came in...I like these best as I just load up the containers rather than breaking out the pump.

The large chains are a waste of time to try to collect from as they are under long term contracts with the renderers.
