Well, I for one read EVERY LINE of the 48 pages .. and enjoyed every minute of it.

Rather than stating the obvious ( already stated in the claim ), my guess is that AMD is also PUBLICISING to all the INDUSTRY OEMs AND MANUFACTURING PARTNERS what is really happening.

i.e. Intel gets ALL the profits - and nobody else !
They actually showed exactly this via a nice CHART !

So - I can just imagine those "partners" reading the CLAIM and thinking "Hey, that happened to me too" , and then reflecting on that Graph - showing how Intel has a "profit" monopoly on the whole industry ( someone here posted exactly this some 3-4 weeks ago ).
..and then calling AMD's lawyers : "Hey, y'want another witness ?"

Again, the PR effect is probably worth 500 mio$ at least in "saved" marketing costs !

LOL!

"They have to have paperwork and witnesses willing to come forward to file something like this."

I'd imagine this this initial legal shot originates in a meticulously pieced together legal suit. Gotta believe that AMD has been carefully lining up their "38 ducks" over time.

It shouldn't be surprising to see AMD work their legal plan as effectively as they have worked their Opteron plan.

Dan,

They have to have paperwork and witnesses willing to come forward to file something like this.

And third party interference is not legal, particularly when done by a company with 90% of the market by revenue.

Hmm... Interesting thing you are bringing up. Is Intel going to commit witness intimidation?
