The suit alleges that Intel forces such computer makers as Dell ,Sony ,Toshiba and Hitachi into exclusively using Intel in return for cash payments. It further alleges discriminatory pricing and marketing subsidies designed to punish companies who use AMD chips in part of their product line.

The complaint also charges that Intel paid huge sums of money to Dell and Toshiba for remaining Intel-only PC makers. Dell in particular has been very public about its ongoing preference for Intel chips, yet rumors fly constantly about its potential interest in using a chip from AMD. This generally indicates that Dell and Intel are negotiating terms of a new deal, and typically triggers a good deal of speculation, but never a purchase order for AMD chips from Dell.

Not mentioned is pressure on Microsoft to hold back on 64bit Windows until
Intel could catch up, and below cost pricing on flash memory to suck the profit
out of AMD's only profit center.

Sig,

Re:
"AMD sues INTEL- again
A winner like Intc just HAS to be doing something wrong.
Like maybe they do not sue the same company over and over again. ?
Better check Lance Armstrong for drugs again."

AMD was a big technological sponsor of Lance when he was with the USPS CYCLING TEAM

AMD is now a major tech contributor for Lance's new team...DISCOVERY CHANNEL PRO CYCLING TEAM

HPQ is one major computer company which uses AMD chips and actually lists AMD side by side along with INTC chips for custom configurations

AMD and HPQ have developed/marketed a special edition Livestrong edition notebook

HPQ hates DELL

AMD hates INTC

DELL doesn't use AMD

DELL is kicking HPQ's A$$

Dell's corporate headquarters is in Texas

Lance is from Texas

Kemble is going to Texas

The amount of letters in HPQ AMD is the current number of times Lance has won the Tour de France

The amount of letter in DELL AMD is the number of winning tours Lance is striving for

INTC is being sued by AMD yet again

Makes you wonder, huh??!!??
