"Some customers will be unhappy with amd however. This could backfire."

Can't see it. Only those sitting at INTC's head table, and by the sounds of things, those are increasingly difficult to locate.

Only those that were quoted and did not want to be. Everyone else will be cheering. Everyone _detests_ Intel and their coercive behaviour.

Jon, Ruiz did discuss it with Intel partners first: Message 21455703

It can backfire in other ways too: E.g. Intel trying to bankrupt AMD before any verdict.

It's rather unlikely though to backfire in the way that there is any possibility for Intel to countersue on the same grounds.

I guess Dell, Sony and Toshiba will reduce their AMD orders going
forward.
