If you are complaining, then you should be glad we've taken action now, and probably with much more support than we'd have gotten then. One must presume you'd prefer we'd taken action then, indeed. Perhaps we were right, and Iran would have dominated the region without our support of Saddam, eh? No? Perhaps that would have been better, do you think? No? Whatever you feel, the notion you just wrote, namely that "This President.....stood by and did nothing but assist Saddam in that era" is, by the by, very bald faced silly, to the best of my knowledge.
