And since this is the quote thread, some more legal quotes -

"Make crime pay. Become a Lawyer."

- Will Rogers

"A jury consists of twelve persons chosen to decide who has the better lawyer."

- Robert Frost

"Law school taught me one thing: how to take two situations that are exactly the same and show how they are different"

- "Hart Pomerantz"

"This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice."

- Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

"If you have ten thousand regulations you destroy all respect for the law."

- Winston Churchill

"With Congress, every time they make a joke it's a law; and every time they make a law it's a joke."

- Anonymous

"Bad laws are the worst sort of tyranny."

- Edmund Burke

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence"

- John Adams

"The more laws are enacted and taxes assessed, the greater the number of lawbreakers and tax evaders"

- Lao Tzu
