I think its a free market and this has resulted in roughly 16-18% MSS for those customers that like the "different" approach AMD takes. The market has decided and chosen. And yes Intel does have these advantages I see you did not disagree.

I did like the AMD answer in the CC why the server market was different. They stated that those customers are IT types and demand better products. I guess they are saying the OEM's for other markets are idiots and don't have a clue what to sell. And only a fool would try to compare Box hardware vendors GM's to SEMI's. Barrier to entry, cost of Fabs and IP have a cost, that needs to be returned.

Hey, burny, if Intel has such great advantages, why do they threaten to raise your CPU prices by 10% if you dare sell an AMD-based computer?
