just ran into the guy who writes the code for stockcharts.com

good news, they have new charts that are in beta right now

...the UI is much different - faster. the charts are nicer, and you can do indicators of indicators etc
...more color schemes, more customizations
...the parts that are free on stockcharts.com will remain free even with the new charting
...when does it exit beta? can't give a date obviously - but its close.
...I'm working on performance right now - the charts are done - just have to make it fast
