According to Milunovich, Sun's net cash position will decline to about 90 cents a share from $1.85 a share after both deals close. He said Sun's earnings power will be "insufficient" to boost the stock in the absence of significant margin improvement. Milunovich, who rates Sun a neutral, doesn't own shares of Sun although Merrill Lynch intends to seek an investment banking relationship with the company.
