re: so, in addition to all the money they sank into the original hardware and shipping, and tech support and customer service and retention efforts prior to issuing an RMA, they had to spend more money refurbishing it and shipping it again. hopefully the next customer will actually keep it past the 30-day return period or whatever it is. Just like every other consumer electronics company. Except the other guys just sell their reconditioned product for a loss... TiVo gives it away and gets years of highly profitable subscription revenue. A net win for their model. re: no, i am 6'4". I can't help but wonder why you spend so much time bashing this tiny ($581 million market cap) company. If you have no financial interest, then certainly there is a more productive use of your time?
