Shades Re: "KISS" I keep it even simpler than that. With the cubes I just mainly do it by the seat of my pants. I once had a neighbor who kept a few chickens for what he called his "egg money". Well, thats what I try to do with the QQQQ. Most of the time I am either short or long, but not a large position. If I get caught to the downside I don't sell at a loss, I just wait. Sooner or later they seem to come back to you in time. Some luck is involved. If I had been long on January 3 I would still be down but fortunately I didn't have a position then. Seeing I was getting killed in everything I went short the cubes and that worked well. Since then I have been in and out several times, all with a profit but small ones. I think it helps keep you focused on the market. Since Monday I have been long and hope to stay that way for a while.

I really like the "stephenvita" website. Those guys are some traders, huh? They had a chart posted for LBC which is a Lehman junk bond proxy, and a real good one, better than the Putnam one I have been watching. I like to play these things too, because while you hold you get the big divvys, paid monthly.
