Apparently Iraqis have no mid level officers. They take 2 years to develop. Hence the 2 year timetable offered up by the Iraqis.

Did the Iraqis get permission from Bush to say that?

They should just stretch it out another 6 months in time for the 2008 campaigns.

It's hard to say about timetables, Cheney says we're almost there depending on what the definition of "throes" is. Rumsfeld says up to 12 years. Rice says it's a generational conflict and Bush won't say anything in terms of numbers because he's uncomfortable with numbers.
