Instigating an investigation into the PETA practices makes you an instant Pet Hater. Just like instigating an investigation into the dubious but alleged highly profitable practices around the US Kosher certification programs - and the organizations behind them - would make you an instant Antisemite. Many schemes to turn a buck for yourself. And possibly for violent movements in or outside the USA. Find an untouchable niche and launch your own scheme right there! Taro

Tejek, actually Paret's post might have some truth in it (I skimmed just the first part), and it should be investigated. We shouldn't dismiss a post as untrue just because the person is in the opposite party. I did check out Paret's original complaint and article on PETA. Two PETA employees went awry and killed a number of dogs and cats until they were caught. While I don't think that's a good thing, I hardly define that as a case for domestic terrorism. As for the most recent article, it came from a blog, the author of which tries to prove in other articles that Clinton was very weak and tried to placate bin Laden; that Mayor Bloomberg of NYC is going against the GOP's roots by banning smoking; that Howard Dean's view of the GOP is revisionist, etc. Sorry but I refuse to give the author much credence.........he comes off as just another right wingnut. As for Paret, I am busy like everyone else. If he walks, talks and crawls on his belly like a reptile, then I have to assume he's a snake. ted
