RE: "I spend about the same time in San Diego and in Germany."

Traffic is nuts in LA area. Btw, I managed some engineers that were located in Germany. They have a good university over there.

RE: " Right now in the process of buying 15 acres in Italy with a great view of Lago di Trasimeno."

Sounds very lovely.

RE: " It includes a 3000 sqfeet rustic ruin, which allows for (re-)building a home of same size."

Am very familiar with this trick. In fact, there's a good MS server with software on historic maps I believe that has been helpful for exactly this reason - if one finds a pre-existing structure, one can build.

RE: "You doing silicon chip based biochemical analysis?"

I don't work in the chip business. Intel has large, efficient fabs that helps give it IP protection, so I invest in Intc.
