Also kerry op ed was pathetic. Biden, Hillary, Lieberman (and republican counterparts hagel, mccain and lugar) are not. I understand you dont like their overall politics but on fp they are not leftys at all. There is a big difference between dean/kerry and the above. You should be the first one to note that Nadine and i am surprised that you take so partisan a stand.
I am not a military guy so i dont know if more troops today would help. Maybe they could be helpful in training new recruits and then helping to keep them alive.
I have adopted the stand of the anti-war letter writer to the NYtimes who called iraq a catastrophic mistake but says we must win. Must isnt always possible but i think we should do whatever needed as determined by military men who are not under pressure from DOD, over a timeframe that is reasonable with transparency to the american people to regain support. mike
