Basra, a veritable paradise. This is a very real possibility for the ultimate outcome for most of Iraq, sort of a replay of Taliban/Afghanistan.


What makes this worse is that this is the area of the country that supposedly was doing better. Now we find out that freedom is almost as elusive as it was under Saddam.
