A victorious Germany would have grabbed some territorial and exorbitant monetary concessions from defeated France and Britain, and went back home a few francs and colonies richer. It isn't like WWI was an existential struggle like WWII.


Perhaps, but I think the psychological impact of Britain falling to Germany in WWI would have been profound. It had been a few years since they were last defeated. England and English law were pillars of democracy compared to many of the other european nations of the time.
