Our political system relies upon people entering politics for egalitarian reasons. I do not believe that more than a handful of politicians are in politics for the right reasons.

It seems that many people are in politics to derive financial or power benefits. A friend is entering politics for the right reasons. He told me his boss sees the loss of his labors as a situation that will pay for itself. He should be able to bring in enough business to pay for the lost labor.

His boss hope he will become a rainmaker in the same way the Rose Law Firm saw Hillary as a rainmaker. I believe many people enter politics and / or remain in politics for reasons other than doing the greatest good for the most people. Mostly they seem to want to to the greatest good for themselves.

Both parties are guilty. Republicans were used to being out of power after spending over forty years lost in the wilderness. Democrats are spoiled and upset over the loss of power. Their frustration has resulted in their rants and raves.

Further their President was caught in an offense worthy of removal from office, and they are upset that his perjury became the most widely known fact about their party. They are trying to use smoke and mirrors to replicate through slander and libel what Democrats did to themselves through fact.

Republicans had better be wary. The FMSM are gunning for them. The FMSM enforce a double standard where Republicans are tarred and publicised for any small slip up, and Democrats failings are glossed over and even covered up.
