I remember the day my Dad finally parted with his small collection of ship ID models. They were little grey models of the various ships in the Pacific, intended to be training vehicles for identification. Very simple models, not like the plastic ones that you glue up, but more basic outline with major features like gunmounts and such. We took them over to the Naval Reserve and donated them. The officer who took them was very appreciative and respectful. I do hope they were put on display. Perhaps I should go over and check.

I noticed as I cleaned out that shed how exhausting it was. Every item had to be evaluated for sentimental practical and monetary value, and a decision made to keep it or toss. I took 430 pounds to the dump, but that included a fair amount of pack rat poop and bona fide junk.

Do you have any use for an antique electric fence controller box?
