I have posted a good bit about him. Pham Xuan An once worked for the French army's General Command. He later became a noted political analyst and was an informal adviser to the US top brass. He also worked as a reporter for Reuters and Time magazine in South Vietnam while actually being a loyal spy for the North Vietnamese government. The real tragedy is that the American reporters who were his friends still think well of him.

I think the best thing I posted about him was A New Yorker Kind of Guy, By Ben Stein.

A first amendment lawyer last night on TV pointed out that if the leak itself is illegal, reporters have no 1st amendment right to protect the criminal and when they try they are badly overreaching and hurting their own cause.
