Don't forget, like the USSR, they have ample tanks and guns. That is not our problem. Besides, tanks and guns are no match for our advanced military. Even tanks and guns inside their own borders have severe limitations. You need charismatic and ruthless leaders. You need a Joe Stalin or Saddam Hussein. Without Joseph Stalin, it was only a matter of time for Russia to break up. The same thing happened in Yugoslavia without Tito. It is clear the same thing is happening in Iraq. Without a Saddam Hussein, it is almost impossible to hold Iraq together. There is currently no threat to our national security. The only way we could get hurt is if we shoot ourselves in the foot with this WOT or if we do not get our finances in order..
