Bush would have been the war-time president by attacking Iraq. He didn't need anything else. No way he planned 9-11. Even Cheney and Rove are not that evil. No one is but nut cases who hate the west.

Yet, there are too many unanswered questions...

Yes, there are a very suspicious number of unanswered questions, a very suspicious number. Take for example the many claims that there are few if any pieces of airplane wreckage to be found... It would seem that this kind of question could easily be resolved. The govt. probably has at least two photos of every square inch of ground near the Pentagon and Trade Center and has probably analysed each photo for just such debris. So why is that not readily available?

To answer my own question, it's because of Karl Rove. One of his most favorite tactics to discredit critics is the "embrace and extend" maneuver. This is the same tactic that was played out in the Dan Rather / National Guard story. When Rove detects that information may come out, Rove intentionally creates a mystery where none exists in order to distract and to pounce on anyone who actually takes the bait. When the dust settles the initial bad information has been completely overwhelmed by the "controversy" that Rove can enhance or quash as he sees fit.

Rove wants to cover up Cheney and the neocon's preparations to wage war in the middle east. The new Pearl Harbor was but one of those preparations. Maybe the Pearl Harbor was a bigger event than they were prepared to handle, but it was just one of a pattern of events designed to get the U.S. in a war with Iraq, Iran, and probably North Korea. Nobody would care how the war started if we were winning, but now the neocons have much to cover up and Rove is the point man for all media manipulation.

Rove doesn't have to start rumors about his (or Israel's, or the Masonic lodges) involvment in 9/11. All he has to do is wait for some rumors, and then not quash them well, in fact to withhold information and otherwise make you wonder if there isn't something there he's afraid of. Soon there is a very suspicious number of things that aren't well explained. He's setting it up so that any investigation into war preparations will wind up as a conspiracy theory that he can dismiss.
