The already infamous "last throes" statement will be clanging around the republicans' ankles for a long time. Imagine the TV ads before the mid-term elections next year if the next few months don't turn out to be the last throes. A witty catchphrase like that just can't be passed up by the other side. Like "read my lips". Friend's son just returned from second tour in Iraq. What a fine young man.
