I figure Iran poses two problems:

1. Bush & Co, never rational or competent, will do whatever they darn well please. While we're fighting over someone to replace O'Connor and preserve Roe, they'll be manufacturing a case to bomb, infiltrate or otherwise meddle with Iran.

It is odd that the Mayor of Tehran wasn't on the CIA's list of 'people we should know something about' before he made it to the Presidency. I've heard that he's illiterate, knows nothing outside of Iran and isn't in charge anyway. Who knows? It's disturbing that the CIA doesn't know.

2. Iran enriches uranium and starts packing away nukes...like Israel. It may be where Bush & Co's lying meets reality. I thought before that it would be a sad thing if Saddam didn't have WMDs to give up so he couldn't prevent war. I think that it's equally sad if Bush's crying wolf over Iraq prevents the world from understanding that Iran is really able to stockpile nukes.

That's all the world needs, two countries with nukes and tons of paranoia.
