But not everybody has the inside information that the defense sector is going to be booming...or a Father on the board of Directors of Carlyle or friends in the energy and oil businesses. How much money does it take to get elected? You want to be a republican president you need to get in bed with big business, because without their financial support you don't have the resources for a campaign. You see in the world of politics, you write letters back and forth with Ken Lay, and then he gets to advise you on energy policy, and he gets huge campaign donations for you, but when you've been indicted, like Kenny boy, then W says he barely knows you.
