I hate it when Howard Dean is right

Hey Howard, there was indeed vote fraud in the 2004 election.

My apologies for doubting your word. From East St. Louis:
A federal jury Wednesday convicted the head of this city's Democratic Party and four others of scheming to buy votes with cash, cigarettes and liquor last November to try to get key Democrats elected.

Jurors in the monthlong trial deliberated more than five hours before convicting local Democratic Party chairman Charles Powell Jr., 61, and Kelvin Ellis, 55, the city's former director of regulatory affairs, of felony conspiracy to commit vote fraud. Also convicted were Democratic precinct committee members Sheila Thomas, 31, and Jesse Lewis, 56, and City Hall worker Yvette Johnson, 46.

Of course they do. But tejek, I have learned that an ocean of thought separates you and I. When things go horribly wrong, you stand back and lament, bitch and moan, and throw recriminations all around. This makes you feel better and somehow morally superior. I take a different approach. I came to dislike Bush. So I didn't vote for him the second time around. In addition, I don't like his approach in Iraq, but I don't willfully blind myself to the potential for good to come out of this situation.

In your mind, only bad things can come from bad situations. But the people to whom this world belongs are the ones who see the opportunities in bad situations. That's something that you will not learn in school. Try some optimism. It can change your world.
