"we all have our own standards of what's funny."

Ain't that a fact? We also have our own standards for intelligent literature and legitimate history--not to mention science. Personally, I think it is a good thing that we have our own standards. I think that genocide is less tragic when one realizes it never happened (talking about the FLOOD again), and when one can reference it with a light heart. If some of the angst people carry can be lifted with truth and humor--well...why not?

Anyway, if you (or anyone) thinks the FLOOD and the genocide is history...please continue to believe so. I have heard that opinion publicly presented enough times and I find it offensive. But I don't get weepy over it. So don't imply that I am insensitive (or immoral, perhaps!) for voicing my opinion. Yes, it was a joke. If we were to take the old myths seriously we would still be burning witches and pulling out tongues. I will take humor over that, any day.
