At that time, for more than two years, the public support was a frothily 90%, as was the fervor of white-washed patriotism that continues to linger. It would be a political suicide to even make a hint opposing the official line. The same with ordinary people on the street. It was either follow the officialdom line of story or get branded a traitor. Nothing in between. It was such a state of mind. One could not even express a doubt. It was all made possible by and relied on the 911 incident. It was the greatest mass psychology marketing in the US. It will be exposed 25 or 50 years from now, when it would have insignificant consequences.
