The Constitution is safe in moderate hands. It is against church and state mixing and was written up to defend us from far rightwing cults and mobs, or tyranny and imbalance in any form. The Founding Fathers were very clear on this. The church must butt out of government. Especially the far right superstitious irrational churches. Pat Robertson is quoted as saying he wanted to scrap the Constitution when he was running for president, though he would never say that in public. The religious right are the only menace to the Constitution there is.
