The whole of Congress is nuts. I became convinced of it as I watched the output of the energy bill. We are lead by political midgets that refuse to pass a bill with any teeth in it. Congress is complicit in spending hundreds of billions on war, yet they spend pennies on energy independence. Sickening. Both the Democrats and the Republicans in Congress make me sick. I agree. Congress has become emasculated. Its made Bush's reign possible. One of the checks on the White House has been lost and the second check is about to be lost. Like I've said before, not good times. And just for the record, I am typically an optimist.
