Saddam said OVER AND OVER he DID NOT HAVE WMD's.... I never believed Saddam! But I never believed that he had WMDs at that time. It made no sense. If he used them on U.S. forces they would be very marginably effective and cause his own side great repercussions. If he used them on Israel or the Kurds it would have lead to a real trial for him instead of the kangaroo justice he is facing. The only effective thing he could do with WMDs would be to surrender them to the inspectors, and when he didn't it became clear it was because he had none to surrender. Junior and his team and the Senators all had more information than I and yet I was sure (and I am seldom sure without the gestalt being right) that he had no WMDs. That means those dudes with more information had to be doubly sure that he had no WMDs and yet they lied, they let people die, and they grabbed the money and ran. The gestalt never indicated that the Warren commission was right either. If Junior grows bald and dies without being brought to account for his war crimes it will be another dark day in American history, and another milestone on to the end of empire. Make your markers strong and bury them deep because it could be many more millenium before the glory that was America is rediscovered. TP
