Al Qaida and Saddam were not friends. You are deliberately posting lies to the thread to cover up for Bush's mistakes and dishonesty.

Al Qaida called for overthrow of all secular regimes in the ME including Saddam's. There is no evidence Osama ran anything out of Iraq, or even visited there. Maybe they shared a few mutual interests like Killing Israelis but that's it. They did not operate together. All Cheney's claims about it have been debunked.

I might also remind you that it was the CIA and Reagan administration who were both Saddam and Osama's friends, armers and helpers in the 80's.

In the 90's, Bush Sr. crushed Saddam and drove him out of Kuwait. Osama didn't go to Saddam's defense he went the other direction. To Afghanistan, Yemem, Africa, Sudan etc. All the Osama attacks were on the other end of the Arab world. Osama never once spoke out in support of Saddam.

Also remember what Osama is fighting for, an Islamic state. Saddam murdered tens of thousands of Islamic fundamentalists. Saddam was more westernized and liked sex, booze and rightwing politics.
