this terrible tragedy One undercurrent that won't surface in the MSM is that the Seals haven't done well in Afghanistan. I saw signs of this in what I read during the Tora Bora campaign. They got into action there because the officer in charge of SO at the Florida HQ was an Admiral. I gather this is a the opinion among the Green Beret community. I know they are rivals, but there has been problems. Seals are trained for sea/land, and they naturally want to be used in all SO campaigns. You could say they are "fish out of water."
