Remember the old saying? Don't kill the messenger. It was a joke, gallows humor perhaps, but a joke. I'm trying to say that the system we use to count things and categorize them is flawed. The segmentation of humans into categories like Democrat, Republican, Right, Left, Moderate, Disenfranchised. Not to mention ETHNIC and gender! We do not easily fit into these one dimensional categories. I know I don't. You would probably be surprised at some of my choices on issues. And even if we did. Sometimes the Republicans Act like Dems and vice versa. This means all policy is ameliorated. Since this congressional year is a dud and it's all Republican, all the time, imagine the filtered, mutated, no offense to other posters, bland policy that must have been delivered in the 90's and 80's. We agree on more than we disagree. We have always mostly lived within a few standard deviations on the "Life In America" graph regardless of the President's Party. Time to start working together and stop sweating the small stuff. We all got here the same way. Unfortunately, half of us are wrong on HOW we got here. But that will work itself out at the end and there are many opportunities and challenges coming. Rascal @HappyAmericaDay.com
