Let me ask you this, Tigerpaw. Do you think the insurgents are justified in killing Iraqis? What do you think they are trying to accomplish? Do you really believe that all they really want is for us to leave Iraq and they'll stop the killing of Iraqis when we leave?

As far as the U.S. building permanent bases in Iraq. I don't know much about it. How do you know they are permanent? How do you know they are not going to be handed over the Iraqi security forces, just as we handed over our command and control center in Saudi Arabia back over to the Saudis?

As far as the embassy, we need an large embassy there. In case you haven't noticed, lack of local Mid-East intelligence has made our ability to stop terrorists very weak. If we can have a large embassy in Iraq, we can use it as a base for our agents to create the intelligence networks necessary to find out who's doing what and stop them before they do things we don't want them to do. We have embassies all over the world. The most important ones are those that give us intelligence in countries we need intelligence on.

When they cleared out Falluja, they found torture chambers spattered with blood and huge arms caches everywhere.

Are you sure that isn't Abu Graib that you are referring to?

He's right. The insurgents torture better than the Americans. Apparently, when you are at war, anything goes. Another reason not to go to war unless its absolutely necessary.
